Birdie's Bungalow

Birdie Hillside Hideaway is tucked away on a lush east county hillside. This darling, 175-square-foot studio has just been completely redesigned with modern, stylish décor focusing on comfort and fun in the sun! It’s the perfect spot for two people and a pup!

The space

Birdie’s Hillside Hideaway has a very comfy, brand-new leather sofa and a small dining or work area. Relax in bed or on the sofa while you watch Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and Hulu on the 55” flat-screen Smart LG TV.  Find your perfect temperature with our built-in split unit AC and heater combo. The kitchen area is equipped with a microwave, toaster oven, hot plate, and Keurig coffee maker.  We do not have a stove or an oven.  We provide a smaller 4.5 cubic feet fridge to save space and there is no dishwasher, but we provide hand soap, dish soap, and drying rack for your convenience. The space features a private, compact bathroom featuring a shower, toilet, and modern hand-washing station. The qUEEN-sized bed area offers a brand-new, ultra-comfortable mattress.

Outside of your front door, you will enjoy a small, private space to sip wine under the market lights while lounging in rocking chairs and enjoying the propane fire pit.

We welcome one well-behaved pooch, but please no cats or other animals. Just let us know you are bringing a dog so we can make sure to set out the water and food bowl.

Guest Access

The property is meticulously maintained, and the interior is professionally cleaned, disinfected, sanitized, and checked before each guest. 

Self-check-in is easy, and management is quickly accessible and available for questions and recommendations. We provide a welcome book for you which should answer most of your other questions. Check-in and check-out are simple; an email will be sent a few days before your arrival with detailed instructions. There is ample street parking is conveniently located near the property.

Unfortunately, due to high demand, turnover, and our standard of cleanliness, we are unable to provide late check-out.

We are a 25-minute drive from San Diego International Airport and Sea World, 25 minutes from Downtown San Diego, and the San Diego Zoo. You can find out about all our favorite places on our website which we will send to you upon booking. Our goal is to help you have as much fun in San Diego as we do!

other things to note

Our two other rentals are available on the same property and are just a short distance from one another. Darling Daisy is a retro-style camper that sleeps 4 people and is a perfect blend of vintage style and deluxe amenities. Bettie Blue is an additional retro-style camper that sleeps 3 people or 2 adults and 2 kids. Invite the whole family where you can all stay in your own places that are steps away from each other! 

• Street parking is available for your vehicle and any additional vehicles. 

• There are no parties allowed in the tiny home or yard. Max occupancy for the tiny home is 2 guests.

• Please pick up after your pet

• Quiet time is 8pm
