Your retro escape is centered between the Laguna Hills and the coast of San Diego, in sunny East County. Glamp in style in the new 2019 Retro Riverside trailer. This camper is set up with all the modern amenities and with the quaint mid-century modern design of a teardrop trailer. Enjoy a perfect blend of vintage style and modern amenities. The trailer sleeps 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 kids. You will have 1 designated parking spot available to you and ample street parking.

The space

Welcome to Retro Bettie which is tucked away on a lush east county hillside RIGHT NEXT TO OUR OTHER TRAILER CALLED DARLIN' DAISY. Our ultra-comfortable Queen walk-around bed sleeps two, and the kitchen table converts into a small twin size pull-out bed that can sleep one small adult or two small children. It has approximately 150 square feet of cozy living space.

Miss Bettie is fully equipped with a dining area, a bathroom, and a VERY SMALL shower and bathroom, as well as a refrigerator and freezer, ice-cold A/C, high-speed Wi-Fi, TV with Amazon Firestick, DVD, and stereo. The kitchen is stocked with a pod style coffee maker, tea and coffee, microwave, toaster oven, and basic kitchen needs like cups, plates, wine opener, and silverware. In the bathroom we provide shampoo, conditioner and bodywash as well as hand soap and a starter pack of paper towels in the kitchen.  We also provide bath towels and RV toilet paper that is made specifically for our RV plumbing system.

Outside the trailer, you will find a gorgeous sitting area where you can lounge by the propane firepit and enjoy the view. Grill out some steaks on the BBQ or roast some marshmallows over the firepit while you lounge on your personal patio. We welcome everybody to our home. Please let us know if you would like to purchase our "S'mores package" where we will provide marshmallows, chocolate, graham crackers and S'mores roasting sticks. This package is $35.00.

Guest access

The property is meticulously maintained, and the interior is professionally cleaned, disinfected, and sanitized and checked before each guest. 

We provide a welcome book for you which should answer most of your other questions. Check-in and check-out are simple; an email will be sent a few days before your arrival with detailed instructions. Unfortunately, due to high demand, turnover, and our standard of cleanliness, we are unable to provide late check-out. 

​

The trailer is located off a quiet street with quick freeway access.  We are located on a private road and offer a designated parking spot directly next to the trailer and ample street parking for any additional vehicles. You will park at the parking spot labeled bettie blue. Any other vehicles can be parked on the street.

​

There is a keypad on the trailer, and we will send you all the entry codes and detailed instructions in the check-in email.

​

Other things to note

We are a 25-minute drive from San Diego International Airport and Sea World, 25 minutes from Downtown San Diego, and the San Diego Zoo. You can find out about all our favorite places on our website which we will send to you upon booking. Our goal is to help you have as much fun in San Diego as we do!
